Common questions
Will I need my gallbladder removed after ERCP?
Often yes. If stones came from the gallbladder, removing it prevents them coming back.
Are bile duct stents permanent?
Plastic stents are temporary and are usually changed or removed within a few months. Metal stents may stay longer.
